SPEC-CREDIT/COLLECTIONS

Description:
We have an immediate opening in our corporate headquarters located in Devon, Pa for an experienced Credit and Collections Specialist.



Responsibilities

This position will be responsible to:

Contact external customers for monies owed to DecisionOne based on outstanding accounts receivable invoices for services provided.
Provide customers with invoice copies or associated billing detail necessary to have invoices approved and paid.
Monitor each individual account for service. Determine when to place customers on a service hold. Advise upper management of service hold potential or actions in a timely manner. Prepare and send final demand letters. Work with dispatch on calls that are on service hold.
Assist upper Management, Sales, Operations and customers with special projects upon request. Clean- up old problem accounts (specifically > 60 day accounts). Requires additional research to reconcile these old accounts. Monthly forecasting of when cash will be received from all tier level accounts.
Maintenance of each account which entails updating the receivables system with current information for each account along with detailed collection notes on a daily basis; applying credit memos; ensuring credits are issued on a timely basis, preparing A/R transfer sheets, research over payments and short payments; processing of credit card transactions; tracking custom invoices against system invoices; preparing refund request letters for customer?s signature so D1 can refund monies owed to customers; and following up to ensure cancellation of accounts are processed in a timely manner.
Creation and listing of Bad Debt packages and coordination with external collection agencies. Provide supporting information for Bankruptcy courts as needed.


Experience and Education


Two years work experience in collections or client services
College degree preferred.
