PRESS RELEASE: DECISIONONE COMPLETES EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT APPOINTMENTS

-New Management Team Positions Company for Future Growth-

DEVON, PA (December 21, 2005) – DecisionOne Corporation today announced the completion of its executive management team appointments, which solidly support the Company’s go-to-market and growth strategies. The recent appointments in the roles of Chief Operating Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer, and Vice President, Human Resources provide DecisionOne with the management strength and skills required to solidify the business and accelerate growth.

Steve Martin joined DecisionOne in June as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), bringing more than 30 years of experience in the technology professional services field. Before joining the Company, Mr. Martin was Vice President and General Manager of North America for the Global Infrastructure Services division of Unisys, an information technology professional services firm where he spent more than 20 years in various sales, marketing, finance, and operations roles. In his current role as COO of DecisionOne, he is charged with managing the Company’s operations and client service relationships.

“Steve is a perfect fit for DecisionOne due to his long and successful history in our core business – technology support services – and his strong rapport with customers and extensive industry contacts,” stated Neal Bibeau, President and Chief Executive Officer of DecisionOne. “Over the past six months, Steve has managed operations with a focus on improving customer satisfaction and has implemented productivity programs to position DecisionOne as a low cost provider of services.”

John Rooney joined DecisionOne in August as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) after spending more than 25 years in the information technology field – both managing early-stage businesses and holding executive positions at large corporations. Before joining the Company, he was President of Viola Networks, Inc. a Voice over IP application firm, from 2002 to 2005. Prior to Viola, Mr. Rooney held senior leadership positions at Avaya and Lucent Technologies. Before Lucent, Mr. Rooney was integral to the founding and management of a handful of successful start-up technology companies, including Soft-Switch, which was sold to Lotus in 1994, PTS Learning Systems, which was sold to Global Knowledge Networks in 1997, and Quadritek Systems, which was sold to Lucent in 1998. In his role as CCO of DecisionOne, Mr. Rooney is responsible for developing future platforms for DecisionOne and has functional responsibility for Sales, Marketing, and Product Management.

“John brings the ideal balance of traditional industry experience to maintain and grow our traditional, core business, and the entrepreneurial mettle to re-invent DecisionOne through the expansion of our services and selling channels,” according to Bibeau. “In the short time that John has been with the Company he has been able to swiftly identify and prioritize our top commercial opportunities, establish new target markets, and develop a roadmap to clarify DecisionOne’s position in the marketplace.”

Another key appointment made in July was that of Rick Martin to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Martin began his career at United Parcel Service, where he served for seven years in a variety of financial management roles. He later went on to work in key financial positions in various private equity-backed companies. Prior to DecisionOne, Mr. Martin served as CFO for Strategic Distribution, Inc (SDI), a publicly traded company specializing in supply chain solutions and distribution services. Rick has more than seventeen years of diverse financial management experience with leadership roles in public accounting, corporate finance and tax management. In his role as CFO of DecisionOne, Mr. Martin is responsible for the Finance and Administration areas of the Company. He also serves as Corporate Secretary.

“Rick has very broad experience managing the finance function across a full range of situations – from large organizations to small organizations, healthy to distressed companies, and publicly-traded to privately-held businesses,” stated Bibeau. “He, therefore, has firsthand experience in managing the current and future requirements of the business as we embark on our corporate development strategy.”

Michael Fitzgerald joined DecisionOne as Chief Information Officer in July, bringing more than 23 years of information technology experience to bear on his new role. Michael has run IT organizations for Global 2000 companies as well as at smaller software companies. Michael brings a hands-on, technical approach to IT management that delivers practical, business-driven solutions. At DecisionOne, Mr. Fitzgerald is responsible for Corporate IT, which includes Application Development, Data and Voice Services, Desktop Services, Employee Help Desk, and DecisionOne’s Data Center.

“Michael’s extensive IT leadership experience is a great complement to the executive management team at DecisionOne,” according to Bibeau. “He brings a big-picture view and the ability to tightly manage IT operations. Over the past five months, Michael has rationalized our IT infrastructure – focusing the workflow on delivery of systems and establishing accountability for business results. He has also taken steps to focus capital investments on projects that significantly improve our business operations.”

The final and most recent executive appointment is Adrianne Miller, who joined DecisionOne in November as Vice President, Human Resources. Ms. Miller has more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of the HR field, including compensation and benefits, training and development, talent acquisition, change management, and employee relations. In her most recent position, Ms. Miller led the North American human resources function for VWR International, a global distributor of life sciences products. Prior to joining VWR, she held various HR positions at Collagen Corporation and at McKesson. At DecisionOne, Ms. Miller will be leading company-wide HR efforts, with responsibility for compensation, benefits, employee relations, and recruitment.

“Recognizing that, as a professional services company, DecisionOne’s most important assets our employees, we sought a leader who had experience in managing change and establishing strong and leading fundamentals in the HR practices of an organization,” said Bibeau. “Adrianne is an accomplished human resources professional with extensive experience in all aspects of the field. Both our HR organization and our employee population will benefit greatly from her participation in the management of the Company.

“The keys to any successful business transformation are clear vision, sharp focus, and effective leadership,” stated Bibeau. “We have had great success in attracting exceptional leaders to DecisionOne to complement the talent within the DecisionOne organization. Now that our executive management team is complete, we are in a strong position to execute on the vision for the future of our Company.”
